RTS Game : Glest

Glest is an open source 3D video game genre of RTS (Real Time Strategy). Glest engine also provides it for free if one is interested in creating their own strategy games.

In this game we can control the armies of two different factions. Tech, troops using equipment and devices menkanik, and Magic, the troops which uses wizards and creatures on the battlefield.

Download Glest package for Linux Debian and its derivatives(ubuntu, dll)

For Debian / Ubuntu user that connected to the internet, install glest by using the following command from a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T)

$ sudo apt-get install glest

For Debian / Ubuntu user that not connected to the Internet, you can download the package here.





Install glest-data_3.2.1-2_all.deb using package installer on linux debian or its derivatives.

Or it could be through a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) with the command

$ sudo dpkg -i glest-data_3.2.1-2_all.deb
